Yikes, so basically we might as well buy whatever candles we wanna buy now. If this is the direction Bath and Body Works is going in with candles then I'm out 🏃‍♀️ As much as I love their products, overpricing their candles as if they weren't already and removing the lids (which makes them more difficult for storage and makes em look tacky) isn't worth it imo. 😅 It was already a hassle to find the best deals and snag some candles, this just makes it more difficult now. Might as well start looking into other brands for candles 🤷🏻‍♀️

we get new things everyday but the candle with no lid was still 24.50 but things change. i did have to unbox new champagne toast (with skinny lid) priced at 25.50

I have had quite a few of those lately and honestly it makes me so mad. At this point I'm about to just start getting candles from Walmart, they don't have all the scents I want, but at least I can smell them when they're lit.

Huntington Home candles from Aldi. Literally the same size with a lid. I have a shelf where I store my HH/ BBW candles and they all stack nicely together. And only 3.99! Not as much variety and they only release three or four at a time but they release them every 2-3 weeks and it's always in theme with the season. And I think their packaging is nice. The scents I've bought so far I really have enjoyed and are very comparable to BBW.

My town just opened a new freestanding Aldis that is much larger compared to the previous one. I bet they will have candles now.

I'm more upset about the change in packaging than the price increase tbh, although that just adds insult to injury.

To be clear, the candles with lids are half the size or the candles are the same size with slimmer lids??

slimmer lids! sorry about that. im also upset, white barn core packaging is changing from slightly see through (very pretty imo) to just solid opaque color. check out your nearest outlet tho, we have lots of okd packaged candles on sale already

i think they might raise the price but increase the frequency of sales on candles.

Note to everyone here, never pay full price for candles at bbw, there will always be a sale!

Definite incentive to work through my stash and then start trying other companies. Definitely reaching the "not worth it" point. Especially since I am one of those people who never receive coupons too!

Definitely start that process now because everything the company has said is that they are phasing out coupons. Once the app is rolled out to everyone, they will most likely no longer send coupons through the mail. They will select who will get coupons via the app. And they can make those coupons exclusive to the app user so you can't even share them with someone else.

I think that's reasonable. I've been following Goose Creek lately. I got Marshmallow Snow Cream last year and it smelled fantastic and had zero throw. I'm curious what their broken candle policy is and I'd like to see real honest reviews , not the fluffed up ones posted.

LMFAO. It will be a chilly day in hell when i pay that price for a candle without a damn lid. On that note, anyone have reccomendations for brands that are available in canada? Goose creek doesn't seem to ship here :/
